Bad Man-Pitbull feat. Robin Thicke

Pitbull, or as the always clever Trevor Noah recently called him, “A human Red Bull”, has come out with another high-energy song that gets people moving every time they hear it. When I first heard it on Jimmy Fallon’s LA week, I found my foot tapping and head moving immediately and I love the subtle turns this tune takes. This time, he brought along Travis Barker, drummer of Blink-182, Joe Perry, guitarist from Aerosmith, and lead-singer Robin Thicke, looking for a follow-up to his monster (albeit controversial) hit, “Blurred Lines.”

It passes all of the tests of a great dance song: not too many lyrics (mostly ooh-ah, ooh-ah in Robin Thicke’s signature falsetto and a few great rap verses from Pitbull), repetition, and a driving drum-beat. Every part is catchy. That first drum beat you hear would make any guest at your event want to get up and dance. The energy is high from start to finish and after hearing it once, you feel like you can sing along. Give it a listen and let me know if you can stop yourself from singing and dancing along.
